Fantastic opportunity for an RN Clinical Educator at a beautiful facility located near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!

The RN Clinical Educator facilitates the instruction and professional development of the nursing staff, to support new employees during the orientation process and to provide nursing educational programs based on clinical needs identified by the nursing department. He/she is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of educational programs for the Department of Nursing and functions as a leader and innovator in the pursuit of improved nursing practice and quality patient care.

Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluates progress of learners and implements appropriate strategies based on learning style.
  • Ensures that orientees utilize appropriate clinical procedures and communication techniques that are based upon ages of population.
  • Assesses the problem learner and develops counseling and remediation plan in conjunction with the
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist and Manager.
  • Collaborates with Mercy Health System Clinical Nurse Specialists and Educators to seed improvement in orientation programs.

Qualifications:

  • BSN required, MSN preferred or in progress.
  • A minimum of three years recent clinical experience.
