This role is responsible for the development, oversight, analysis, implementation and on-going management of supplies for all HWS education offerings. The Supply Manager is responsible for supervising and maintaining the inventory of all equipment and supplies for all Educational Programs and the logistics of inventories of common stock; supplies and shipping/receiving correspondence and packages for the department. Establishes strong internal and external relationships in a professional manner. Coordinates, delegates, creates purchase orders, shipping documents, reconciles invoices, and processes the timely shipments of equipment and supplies to cohorts according to schedules and checklists. This position will work closely and will support all Education leadership and Staff.


SUPERVISES : Supply Coordinator, Lead Supply Coordinator, Education Coordinator


  • Management of equipment and supplies associated with the StaRN and Star-Tech programs under direction of the leadership team

  • Material resource planning including budget, procurement, and logistics

  • Supply Chain Order management SMART

  • Identify and integrate supplies with all course work per specialty

  • Over-see supply coordinators internal and external processes

  • Primary vendor supply and equipment management including pumps, packers, online vendors

  • Regulate procurement, processing and logistics of equipment and supplies for the day one, skills, simulation, and specialties portions of the programs.

  • Assist leadership process development team

  • Oversee internal equipment and supplies inventory, repairs, and logistics

  • Notifications to management and instructors of changes and updates related to equipment and supplies

  • Work closely with leaders to manage all specialty supplies and equipment within allowed budgets

  • Material resource planning including attention to material handling costs per item evaluation

  • Collaborate with the simulation transition team in conversion to point of use materials

  • Support and assist curriculum development team to identify and obtain current market supplies and send alert notices of items to be discontinued

  • Coordinates receiving/shipping

  • Manages the ordering of supplies, books, courses, and equipment as needed

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment to assure sufficient resources available

  • Manages all tracking systems for supplies

  • Assist other Education Staff with coordination of cohorts needs

  • Gathers information and develops summaries as requested

  • Responsible for monthly financial reporting of expense charges / purchase Amex

  • Maintain and assembles learning materials in house and external

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Education or Nursing required


  • Three years of supply or warehouse experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Relevant education may substitute experience requirement


  • Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

  • Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.

  • Requires normal range of hearing, verbal communication and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriately to perform job responsibilities, lifting paper or boxes up to 40 pounds occasionally.

  • Work will be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.

  • Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
