Plan, organize, manage, and track training for the StarTECH Specialty Program for HealthTrust Workforce Solutions. Responsibilities include management of day-to-day operation of StarTECH program and staff. Collaborates with Regional Program Directors for assigned geographic territories, for the purpose of problem resolution, planning, implementing and maintaining services and/or programs; Work with Program Operations Manager and other business owners to identify process gaps and implement processes to improve workflow. Manage and train new StarTECH team members on operations of program and current systems. Maintain knowledge, understanding of education requirements for StarTECH program. As a highly visible department representative, this person consistently demonstrates a strong service commitment by continually striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.

SUPERVISOR – VP of Education

SUPERVISES – StarTECH Program Professionals; StarTECH Program Logistics Coordinators:


  • Helps manage regional clinical professional development program for StarTECH

  • Acts as HealthTrust’s Educational subject matter expert for StarTECH program in assigned geographic territories

  • Provides customer support to HealthTrust clients and is the StarTECH program’s initial account contact for problem resolution

  • Collaborates with RPDs and a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of planning, implementing and maintaining services and/or programs

  • Manages and provides support to the Program Professional and Program Logistics Coordinator for all items related to the StarTECH program.

  • Oversees schedules for specialty with coordination of conference calls, meeting, and coordinated travel arrangements as requested

  • Manages team members timekeeping and weekly payroll including payroll corrections

  • Communicates (written/verbal) with business owners, vendors and all level of company employees. Must have excellent communication skills

  • Data entry into various education databases including Workforce 2.0, Healthstream, and other educational databases and technology

  • Establishes strategic plan for training of new and existing team staff

  • Compiles reports from data and existing records

  • Gathers information and develops summaries as requested

  • Assists with development and implementation of budget and operational plans

  • Assists other staff as requested

  • Attend meetings as assigned and reports on actions

  • Any other duties as assigned

  • Serves on HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Disaster team and participates in all activities related to readiness, planning, and implementation

  • PC Skills – demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in using web-based development and authoring products such as learning management systems; ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.

  • Stress Tolerance – maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity); handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.

EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

EXPERIENCE – Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a diverse staff in Education, HR or Recruitment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing, verbal communication and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriately to perform job responsibilities, lifting paper or boxes up to 40 pounds occasionally. Work will be stressful at times. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
