What can you expect from an allied health job?

Allied health is a term used to include a wide range of clinical workers like therapists, technologists, and technicians. As opposed to practicing nursing or medicine, most allied healthcare careers focus on:

  • Identifying, evaluating and preventing diseases and other adverse health conditions
  • Providing dietary and nutrition services
  • Managing patient rehabilitation

From using technology to diagnose conditions and inform care decisions, to helping people recover from surgery, illness, or injury, to helping deliver mental health services, allied health clinicians provide services are essential in every part of the care continuum.
